Meet Bekir, Organisational Development Manager with a background in finance, marketing and operations. Amsterdam-born but with Turkish roots, he used to organise concerts of Turkish artists in the Netherlands and Germany within his Arts & culture foundation, which he started together with a friend. “It all began with 1-2 concerts in Amsterdam and evolved to more than 25 concerts in Germany and Holland.”
Afterwards, Bekir worked at ING and wrote his Masters thesis about knowledge acquisition of startups at Accelerator programs. That’s how he met Printr and decided to take a step back from a corporate environment and dive into the startup scene. “I love the dynamics and diversity that my job at Printr has to offer and the idea of being able to talk about finance for one hour and straight after that jump into another meeting about marketing – this way I never get bored.”
He is responsible for the financial side of the company as well as for managing various organisational processes like fulfilment. He also supports and coaches the board and hires new awesome people to become a part of our dream team. “With Printr we want people to 3D print hassle-free, and within Printr I want every employee to do his job hassle-free,” says Bekir.
During his first week of working at Printr, Bekir printed a small red lion, the symbol of his favourite soccer club Galatasaray from Istanbul. Being a huge football fan, he is now busy forming his own soccer team. He loves heated football discussions during lunch and traveling abroad to watch live soccer games.
