If you stay close to yourself, you don’t have to expend much energy

“About 4 years ago I started investing time in trying to understand the hype around 3D printing. The more I started reading, the more excited I became. After a while I decided to leave my job at HP and started my own company, Lay3rs. We do everything around 3D productions and are an official reseller of several brands. Besides selling 3D printers we also do reverse engineering, product development, professional 3D scanning and we provide training and print services.

The professional experience that I build up in the past helped me with setting up my business. What I enjoy most about having my own company is taking my own responsibility and executing my vision. I make sure to do it with lots of enthusiasm and ensure my job gives me satisfaction in every way. My biggest accomplishment in my company is that with only a few resources (actually one) I set up a company with a respectable name and branding in the Dutch 3D printer market.

Lay3rs is reliable and creative company that builds good partnerships with other businesses. I maintained the same mindset and work ethic as I had when I worked at HP. If you stay close to yourself, you don’t have to expend much energy on building your company. Just be an open book and the rest will follow.”
